Prior to establishing Solaer USA LLC in 2010, Vance served in numerous operational, sales, and management roles, as well as, founded Akari Energy LLC, a renewable energy and specialty construction company in Houston, Texas.

He has extensive experience in a wide spectrum of industries including photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind energy, biofuels, and power production/distribution and other energy technologies. In addition, he has developed construction and renewable energy projects throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe; and has secured key supplier relationships throughout Asia.

As a recognized subject-matter-expert, Vance participates in speaking engagements throughout the US and overseas, including the Energy Makers Show and professional associations in the energy and technology industries.

 

Vance holds the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Solar PV certification and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Emphasis, from the California Polytechnic University at Pomona California.
